Episode 4 features "Miszter Alkohol" by Hungarian songstress Koncz Zsuzsa. The song is from 1967 from a film known as "Ezek A Fiatalok (These Young People)". From behind the Iron Curtain!
EXUMA
Progcast #2 features the demon ballad "Baal" by Bahamanian voodoo priest Exuma. It's off his second self-titled album from 1970.
SATURNALIA
Episode 3 features "Soul Song" from the album Magical Love by Saturnalia. Currently out of print. The band was fronted by a strange siren known only as Aletta. For the lyrics to this bizarre song, check out my blog entry.
COVEN
Episode 2 features "Wicked Woman" by Coven off their 1969 album Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls. For more info on the band, check out my blog entry.
THE IDLE RACE
Episode 1 features "A Better Life (The Weatherman Knows)" by the Idle Race. Jeff Lynne, the singer and frontman, would later go on to form ELO. Or, as some of you know them, that band that did the song from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
THE SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND
Progcast #1 features "Hammer Song" by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band off their debut 1972 record, Framed.
COMPLEX
Polyester Dreams' theme features "If You Are My Love" by Complex off their 1971 album The Way We Feel. Complex is an organ-heavy band from 1971 that thinks it's from 1966. Out of print but you can still buy copies here and there.
